What You’ll Do
This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to contribute to something meaningful. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Design and customize lead-generating WordPress websites using Astra/Spectra to their full potential.
- Create high-converting landing pages that fuel paid traffic campaigns and deliver measurable results.
- Collaborate seamlessly with clients and our team in a harmonious “dance” of communication, ensuring a smooth flow of ideas, feedback, and handoffs.
- Implement solid on-page SEO practices, including schema markup, to help clients dominate search results.
- Optimize websites for usability, performance, and functionality, adhering to design principles like whitespace and visual hierarchy.
- Enhance designs with custom CSS and light scripting (basic PHP knowledge is a plus). (We are big fans of ChatGPT to help!)
- Address Client help desk tickets with efficiency and professionalism, ensuring updates, fixes, and technical support are delivered seamlessly and with a personal touch.
- Collaborate to refine workflows, implement best practices, and continuously improve how we work together.
- Plug into our MS365/Zoho One platform for project management, collaboration, and communication.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s not just skilled but excited to make a difference. Does this sound like you?
- WordPress Expertise: You’re a master of the block editor and have experience working with themes like Astra and Spectra.
- Design-Driven Results: You have a keen eye for UX/UI and know how to design layouts that engage users and drive conversions.
- Affinity Experience: You have experience working with Affinity Designer or related tools for creating graphics, mock-ups, or other visual assets to complement your web designs.
- Landing Page Specialist: You know how to craft effective landing pages for paid traffic campaigns that get leads flowing.
- SEO Savvy: You understand on-page SEO, including schema, and how to integrate it into your designs.
- Problem-Solver: You can create solutions that clients love—both in terms of aesthetics and lead-generation results.
- Tech-Savvy: You’re skilled in CSS and comfortable working with light scripting to fine-tune designs.
- ChatGPT Friendly: You’re comfortable using ChatGPT as a tool to assist in workflows, including tasks like copywriting, brainstorming, and scripting, to enhance efficiency and creativity.
- Great Communicator and Independent Worker: You have excellent written and spoken English skills and are comfortable interacting with clients through phone calls, video meetings, and email. You handle feedback and collaboration with professionalism and ease, while also excelling at managing your time, staying organized, and working independently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborative Mindset: You are open to feedback, and love sharing your ideas to make the results better.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Zoho One and MS365 for communications and project management.
- Strong graphic design skills for creating cohesive brand identities and designing marketing collateral.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other tracking tools to measure website performance and user behavior.
- Experience integrating websites with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and MailerLite.
- Understanding of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure websites are inclusive and compliant with accessibility standards.
- Experience using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to improve website performance and load times.
- Experience with WHM/cPanel hosting environment.
- Familiarity with basic database management, PHP, or MySQL to address deeper website issues when necessary.
- Knowledge of integrating APIs for features like payment gateways, scheduling tools, or third-party software.
- Knowledge of SSL certificates, firewall plugins, and general security protocols to keep client websites secure.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript to implement interactive elements or troubleshoot functionality issues.
