These days, my focus is on strategy and founder-level work—guiding Clients through the strategic decisions that unlock growth and get their marketing finally working. My team handles the implementation. I focus on what moves the needle.
But I didn’t start here.
Early in my career, I ran a consultancy called Gingrich Group, working with enterprise clients like Manulife, CitiBank, and Co-operators Life Insurance to implement high-end forms warehousing systems across North America.
I later founded BestFit Solutions, delivering sales and marketing automation solutions to mid-sized businesses. That’s where I developed GoldPump, one of the earliest tools to integrate email tracking and web activity into CRM workflows (via GoldMine)—years before most people had heard of marketing automation.
In the early 2000s, Jen and I launched Confessions of a CRM Consultant, a $650 info-product we sold online using one of our first “Piggybank Websites”—a direct response-driven web funnel we designed ourselves. That site became so effective, people began asking us to build them one too. That demand became a business: Piggybank Marketing, which eventually evolved into what is now GravityStack.
We also bought and scaled LadyBen.com, then the #1 website in the world for listing and buying classic wooden boats. It drew over a million visitors annually, generated recurring ad revenue from Google, and earned listing fees from its users. For several years, Jen and I supported our family from the income earned through LadyBen and Confessions—while raising three young kids. That’s where we learned to separate hype from reality and focus on one thing above all: Results.
That blend of enterprise experience, entrepreneurial grit, and direct response DNA still drives the way we work today.
